Ms. Solis concentrates her practice in the areas of civil litigation including premises liability, products liability, wrongful death, automobile negligence, negligent security, toxic torts, false imprisonment/malicious prosecution, libel/slander/defamation, construction defects, property damage, professional negligence, subrogation and insurance coverage issues.  She is admitted to the Florida Bar and the Florida State Court.

Ms. Solis was born in Chicago, and grew up in Mystic, Connecticut.  Always a busy high school student, Ms. Solis was a member of the State Championship varsity cheerleading squad at R.E. Fitch Senior High School in Groton, Connecticut from 1995 until 1997 and ultimately selected to cheer in the 1996 NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii and the 1996 New Year's Day parade in London.  She also held various leadership positions including Class President and Key Club Secretary.

Ms. Solis attended college at the University of Connecticut where she studied Molecular and Cellular Biology and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2001.  She served as the President of the Gamma Beta chapter of the Delta Zeta Sorority from 1999-2000 and awarded the Betty DeCoursey award for her service.  She served as Secretary of the University of Connecticut Public Interest Research Group and sponsored a hunger awareness event for over 300 campus students and leaders. 

Ms. Solis attended Michigan State University College of Law.  She received book awards in Torts I, Property II, Contracts II, and Civil Procedure II and awarded the Shane Joseph Johnson Memorial Scholarship for attaining the highest first term grade point average.  She received her J.D. magna cum laude in 2010.

Before coming to work at Hightower, Stratton, Wilhelm, Ms. Solis gained valuable legal experience as a summer associate with Smith, Haughey, Rice & Roegge of Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a special emphasis on construction law and insurance defense.  During law school, she served as a law clerk for John W. Bissell, P.C. of East Lansing, Michigan; a legal intern with the Kent County Prosecutor's Office, Juvenile Division; and a volunteer with the Kent County Legal Assistance Center. 

Ms. Solis is currently a Captain serving in the United States Army Reserves as the Executive Officer of a drill instructor company based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  She has previously served two tours overseas including Iraq in 2009 as the Executive Officer of a quartermaster company and Kuwait in 2004 as a paralegal in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. 

Ms. Solis lives in Aventura with her husband, Rene, and her 10-year-old Beagle, Rusty.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, jogging, and spending time with her family and friends.
