Mr. Katz has been practicing law in Florida for many years. Mr. Katz has successfully defended major corporations and insured individuals in a wide range of civil litigation areas including premises liability, products liability, wrongful death, motor vehicle negligence, negligent security, property damage, subrogation, and insurance coverage issues.
Mr. Katz is admitted to the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
He was born in Meigs County, Ohio, and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati where he played both varsity football and basketball.
Mr. Katz went on to Ohio State University where he received a B.A. in both Political Science and History. During his time at Ohio State, he spent a semester interning for a congressman in Washington D.C. As a result, he was named a John Glenn Fellow. After graduating from Ohio State Mr. Katz decided to head to south to enjoy the nice weather and further his education.
Once in Florida, Mr. Katz attended and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law. During his time in law school he worked at two different public defenders offices including his time spent as a certified legal intern for the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office. While there he worked in the juvenile division where he gained valuable trial experience. Mr. Katz presently works for Hightower & Partner's Miami office.
In his free time, Mr. Katz loves watching college football, enjoying the gorgeous weather, and playing tennis, golf, and basketball.
