Mr. Lewis is a civil litigator and Division Leader in the Orlando office of Hightower & Partners, practicing in the areas of Corporate and Insurance Defense. Specifically, his practice focuses on several areas including restaurant and hotel defense, general premises liability, transportation defense, and construction litigation. As Division Leader, Mr. Lewis supervises associates and assists with executive matters within the Orlando office. Clients can expect to receive high quality advice and service from Mr. Lewis as he has appeared in courthouses from Pensacola to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mr. Lewis is a graduate of Saint Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida. During law school, Mr. Lewis served as a judicial intern for the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida which gave him practical courtroom experience. In addition to the judicial internship, Mr. Lewis excelled at Trial Advocacy Practice, competed for two years on the Mock Trial team, and made the Dean’s List.
Mr. Lewis received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville, Florida. Prior to attending UF, he received his Associate of Arts degree from Sante Fe Community College, also in Gainesville, where he played NJCAA baseball. In between graduating from UF and attending law school, Mr. Lewis worked for a United States Congressman’s district office in Tallahassee, Florida.
As for personal background, Mr. Lewis is a native Floridian and graduate of Leon High School in Tallahassee. His hobbies include enjoying the great outdoors as well as watching and attending sporting events (especially Gator games). Mr. Lewis is a member of the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. As a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Orange County Bar he was an inaugural member of the Lawyers for Literacy Committee and has volunteered with the Orange County Teen Court.
