Edward Dulatt was born and raised in suburban St. Louis, MO. He played soccer and hockey in high school while working part-time and attending school. He learned the value of hard work at an early age as he began working in a seafood restaurant at the age of 15. He also learned that success comes as a result of hard work, dedication and always continuing to learn to perfect one’s craft.
Ed attended Florida State University in Tallahassee where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science. While at Florida State, Ed took his interest in politics to the next level and worked in the office of the United States senator Bob Graham. Ed was fortunate enough to work with the Senator and his staff on environmental matters, tax issues and worked with the Florida Department of Children and Families, assisting Florida residents who requested intervention from the Senators office to get the DCF involved.
Ed graduated Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center. During this time, he participated as a Street Law instructor and visited local schools teaching children about law. He also spent a semester of law school working at a law firm in Manhattan working with multiple attorneys at a mid-sized firm, assisting them with Blue Sky Law compliance and real estate Litigation. After graduating law school in 2005, Ed took the bar exam in New York and began practicing in New York.
While working in New York, Ed worked with large Manhattan law firms in high stakes litigation between Fortune 500 companies. Ed worked on anti-trust litigation, worked with a team of attorneys working long hours conducting due diligence on multibillion-dollar cases. While in New York, Ed also worked at the New York City Law Department in the Commercial and Real Estate Litigation Division.
Ed moved to South Florida in 2017 taking a position as a Legal Risk Manager with a healthcare company based out of Fort Lauderdale. As a legal risk manager, Ed received and investigated adverse occurrences, malpractice claims, and analyzed claims for risk liability exposure. He worked as a litigation strategy expert assisting in the successful resolution of medical malpractice claims.
In February 2020 Ed took the Florida bar exam and was sworn in as an attorney in April 2020. In his leisure time, Ed enjoys spending time outdoors, in addition to watching his Florida State Seminoles and his hometown teams: the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues. Ed also enjoys traveling and getting lots of exercise with his very energetic dog Baxter.
