Nixon Alcantara was born and raised in Miami, Florida to a Dominican Father and German Mother. He attended high school and college in Miami. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Criminal Justice. After he graduated Nixon decided to take some time and give back. He spent a year in Barranquilla, Colombia with the Heart for Change program assisting Public School English Teachers.

When he came back, Nixon attended Barry University School of Law for his 1L year where he was part of the Top Five Percent of his class. During his time there he received the Book Award in his class for both Contracts and Legal Studies. He then transferred to Florida International University College of Law where he graduated Cum Laude and was named to the Dean’s List.

Nixon has worked diligently since joining the firm. He specializes in first-party property and windstorm defense. He was selected to the 2024 and 2025 Super Lawyers© Rising Stars list for his exceptional work in Insurance Coverage and was named a Top Lawyer by Aventura Magazine in 2024 and 2025 for his expertise in Insurance Law. Additionally, Nixon, was selected to the 2026 Best Lawyers: One’s To Watch® in America for Insurance Law.

He has shielded clients from multi-million-dollar liabilities throughout his tenure working alongside his legal team. Nixon’s forte has been resolving matters quickly with a focus on thorough investigation and unshakable devotion.

• Obtaining favorable defense results of motion to dismiss being granted with prejudice.
• Having Plaintiffs file their Notice of Voluntary Dismissal with Prejudice often with no payment made to Plaintiff.
