Our Team

Imani Hemming was born in New York City, and raised in Miramar, Florida. His passion for the law started from an early age observing his father, a federal judge and former trial attorney attend court. Growing up, he played on basketball, football and swim teams. At Miramar High, he was a member of the International Baccalaureate program. After graduating high school, Imani attended Florida State University where he graduated with a B.A. in Communication.
Imani received his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law where he made the Dean’s List, was certified in its Intellectual Property concentration and received “Book Awards” in Legal Research and Writing and Constitutional Law. During Law School, Imani clerked with a prominent medical malpractice and personal injury firm. Furthermore, Imani was a member of a nationally ranked Trial Advocacy team that did mock trials under the guidance of the honorable Judge Lorena Mastrarrigo. He was also a member of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society as well as the Black Law Students Association.
As a son of immigrants, gave back to the community by volunteering at an Immigration Law Clinic to help immigrants obtain their IDs and citizenship. He also volunteered at food banks during law school to help the poor and donates to a child abuse charity every month.
After law school, he practiced at a prominent personal injury law firm specializing in auto accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death negligence claims.
Imani enjoys working out, playing and watching sports, listening to music, trying new restaurants and traveling.
