Fatal Truck Collision
Estate of Bill Doe v. Waste Collection Company

Attorneys for the Defendant:
DALE R. HIGHTOWER
CHRISTOPHER S. STRATTON

A 65 year old died after a collision with the waste collection truck as it pulled out of a utility Plaint.  The man could not avoid the truck.  He died months later as a result of his injuries.  Prior to his passing, the Decedent incurred in excess of $650,000 in medical bills. The Estate sued for future wages and loss of companionship. The Estate demanded $2,500,000 to settle the claim.

The Defense diligently investigated and defended against the claim. Through intense medical discovery, the defense uncovered the Decedent was suffering from unrelated medical problems in the days before the accident and was “incoherent and disoriented” before getting behind the wheel of his car on the date of loss.

SETTLED: $40,000
