Persistent Investigation of Vehicle Collision
Plaintiff v. Restaurant Employee

Attorneys for the Defendant:
DALE R. HIGHTOWER
SCOTT W. PLANKEY

The plaintiff was injured in a crash with a vehicle driven by a restaurant employee in Tampa, Florida.  Plaintiff required open surgery to her broken right foot, as well as subsequent surgical revision. Medical bills from plaintiff’s surgery and physical therapy totaled over $253,000.

Plaintiff’s suit alleged Defendant’s employee negligently operated her vehicle while in the course and scope of employment. The Defense used an accident Reconstructionist to evaluate each vehicle’s electronic data. The Data showed plaintiff contributed significantly to the subject accident, and the accident could not have occurred in the manner she described.

SETTLED: We were able to close the case for $78,000 BELOW the plaintiff’s claimed medical bills!
