A well-known 81 year-old local retiree “Captain Steve” was struck by a southbound propane delivery truck and suffered a fatal brain injury.

The Defendant propane truck was alleged to be speeding and failed to avoid the accident. Past medical bills were incurred in excess of $130,000 trying to save the life of “Captain Steve”. He was survived by a wife and four adult children. The Plaintiff demanded $800,000 to settle the claim.

The Defense discovered multiple independent witnesses favorable to the defense and immediately set for deposition. We used the truck’s on-board technology to help prove its driver took all appropriate actions.
